Our Dental Services

Bonding/White Fillings

Teeth bonding is a procedure in which a tooth-colored resin material is applied and hardened with a special light, which ultimately “bonds” the material to the tooth to restore or improve one’s smile. Bondings are the easiest, safest, and least expensive of cosmetic dental procedures and can usually be done in one office visit.

Bone Grafts

Bone graft is a procedure done after a tooth is extracted to preserve the socket for future implant placement. It is done on the same day as the implant to strengthen the area around where the implant is being placed to enhance its stability.

Bridges

A dental bridge is a permanent appliance that replaces a missing tooth or missing teeth. It’s made up of two or more anchoring teeth (abutment teeth) with a false tooth (pontic) in between. Dental bridges are an alternative to partial dentures. They serve both practical and aesthetic purposes, enabling you to eat and speak better as well as restore your teeth’s appearance.

Crowns

A dental crown is a tooth-shaped “cap” that is placed over a tooth to cover the tooth and improve its appearance while restoring its shape, size, and strength. The crowns, when cemented into place, fully encase the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line. Crowns help protect or restore a weakened or already broken tooth.

Sinus Augmentation

A sinus augmentation, also known as a sinus lift, is a procedure in which the sinus floor is raised and bone added to increase space necessary to place dental implants.

Sinus lifts are done either during implant placement or as a separate procedure before implant placement when the sinus dips down, decreasing the bone height available for implant placement. Sinus lifts have been shown to greatly improve success of implants placed in close proximity to the sinus.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a permanent and appealing solution to replace missing or extracted teeth. They are better alternatives to bridges because no additional teeth need to be altered to place the new tooth. Implants are a safe, well-established treatment. It’s probably true to say that implants, much like natural teeth, will last for as long as you care for them.

Dentures

Dentures are artificial teeth and gums that are formed to the mouth and created to replace lost or removed natural teeth. Dentures can either be full or partial, meaning they can either replace all teeth on either the top or bottom gum line, or just a few that are missing. Regardless of what kind of dentures, they are custom designed to fit the mouth, and visually matched to the existing teeth.

Extractions

Excessive tooth decay, tooth infection, and crowding can all require a tooth extraction. Tooth extraction is performed by a dentist or oral surgeon and is a relatively quick outpatient procedure where the tooth is removed from the mouth.

Inlays/Onlays

Inlays and onlays are used in molars or premolars, when the tooth has experienced too much damage to support a basic filling, but not so much damage that a crown is necessary. The key comparison between them is the amount and part of the tooth that they cover. An inlay will incorporate the pits and fissures of a tooth, mainly encompassing the chewing surface between the cusps. An onlay will involve one or more cusps being covered. If all cusps and the entire surface of the tooth is covered this is then known as a crown.

Invisalign

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that straightens teeth without the use of metal braces. Invisalign is a series of custom-made clear braces that cover your teeth and gently pull them into the proper position over time. Because they are clear and can be taken on and off, they are less noticeable than traditional metal braces.

With Invisalign clear braces, smiles can be comfortable, beautiful, and accurately aligned in half of the time it would require with traditional braces.

Periodontal Health Dental Cleaning

Teeth cleaning is a procedure for the removal of tartar that may develop even with careful brushing and flossing, especially in areas that are difficult to reach in routine toothbrushing. Professional cleaning includes tooth scaling, tooth polishing, and debridement if too much tartar has accumulated. This involves the use of various instruments to loosen and remove deposits from the teeth.

Root Planing

Periodontal or tooth scaling and root planing are common dental procedures to treat gum disease, or periodontitis. Periodontal scaling and root planing is nonsurgical. They are deep cleanings done with handheld instruments or ultrasonic devices.

Oral Cancer Screenings

The goal of oral cancer screening is to identify oral cancer or precancerous conditions as early as possible. The examination is usually performed during a routine dental visit and utilizes highly sophisticated technology that can detect potential issues which are otherwise undetectable by the human eye.

Root Canal (Endodontics)

Root canal treatment (endodontics) is a dental procedure used to treat infection that has reached the nerve of the tooth. Symptoms may include persistent tooth pain, swollen gums, sensitivity to hot and cold, tooth discoloration, and pain while eating.

Root canal treatment is a procedure that removes the nerve of the tooth and thus removes the infection the discomfort associated with it. Once a root canal is done, the tooth is usually missing structure and a crown is placed on top for protection and longevity.

Crown Lengthening

Crown lengthening that involves exposing more of the tooth’s surface for either cosmetic or oral health concerns. If the gum line is uneven, crown lengthening can sculpt the gum line to produce a more symmetrical smile.

Additionally, crown lengthening may be necessary to support a crown. It is a commonly performed and standard procedure which usually takes about one hour to complete.

Tooth Whitening

Tooth whitening is a very effective way of lightening the natural color of your teeth without removing any of the tooth surface. Special material is placed on the tooth, which does not harm the tooth in any way, and lightens and brightens the enamel of the tooth.

Veneers

Dental veneers are thin, tooth-colored shells that are attached to the front surface of teeth to improve their appearance.  Veneers are less invasive than crowns or implants and are permanently bonded to your teeth. Veneers can be used to treat a number of different cosmetic concerns, including chipped, broken, discolored, or smaller-than-average teeth.
